To ensure a safe, clean, and compliant working environment, Lisemco 5 Mechanical and Construction Joint Stock Company recently carried out its periodic occupational and environmental monitoring across production areas, mechanical workshops, and office spaces.
Ensuring air and wastewater quality
The technical team conducted measurements, sampling, and analysis of workplace air and wastewater quality in accordance with current regulations.
Key indicators such as temperature, humidity, TSP, SO₂, toluene, pH, TDS, BOD₅, TSS, NO₃-N, PO₄-P, surfactants, sulfides, and coliforms were carefully assessed to effectively manage environmental impact and improve the efficiency of the company’s wastewater treatment system.
Evaluating workplace microclimate, lighting, noise, and dust levels
At the same time, Lisemco 5 evaluated microclimate conditions, lighting, noise, and dust levels to ensure a working environment that meets occupational safety standards.
Initial results show that production conditions remain stable, compliant, and continuously improving to provide greater comfort for employees.
Assessing working postures using the OWAS method
This monitoring activity also included an assessment of employee working postures using the OWAS (Ovako Working Posture Analysis System) method - an internationally recognized approach used to identify, classify risks while recommending improvements on working postures to minimize musculoskeletal disorders for employees.
Towards a safe and sustainable workplace
Periodic environmental monitoring reflects Lisemco 5’s commitment to safeguarding employee health, complying with legal requirements, and moving towards sustainable development.
The company will continue to maintain and enhance its safety and environmental management systems, contributing to a greener, cleaner, safer, and more efficient working environment.
